Scope of Services and Maintenance Contract

Note: Includes engineer call-outs except for user/third-party damage. Charges apply for consumables (batteries, lamps, bulbs) and damage from Fire, Storm, Flood, or Act of God.

Maintenance Visit Checklist:

    The following is included in a Maintenance Visit.

    1. Check if any CCTV is non working, A service of replacement will be offered for up to max 3 CCTV cameras for a year (for active contract holders only)
    2. Check whether customer is experiencing any problems with the system
    3. Replair or replacement, if any cable is non working (if contract active)
    4. Carry out a visual inspection of all major components (including cabling and connections where accessible.) for deterioration or damage.
    5. Examine supporting brackets and towers for signs of corrosion and damage.
    6. Check physical condition of cameras and housings for signs of deterioration due to rain, dust and dirt.
    7. Check camera focus, operation of auto-irises and the field of view is correct.
    8. Clean camera lenses/housings as necessary.
    9. Check condition of pan/tilt unit, adjusting position of end stops and presets where applicable.
    10. Check operation of infra-red lamps where applicable.
    11. Check operation of monitor controls and adjust for best picture.
    12. Check operation of switchers, multiplexers and any telemetry controllers where applicable including external alarm interfaces where fitted.
    13. Check time/date settings on controls and adjust where necessary.
    14. Check operation controls and make a short test recording of digital video recorders.

Terms & Conditions

  1. This agreement for maintenance represents a contract between ARA TECHNICAL LTD and the named customer.
  2. This agreement presides over the Terms & Conditions of the customer and as such the customers Terms and Conditions shall have no contractual effect.
  3. Services mentioned above only apply to those within an active contract
  4. Maximum number of cameras per year replacement (if non working) is set to 3 and only applicable for a active contract holder, This includes if the camera stops working during normal use, any self damage caused will not be treated as a "non working camera"
  5. Cable repair or replacement to be only provided and restricted at 100 meter cap per year and is only applicable for an active contract holder, the offered cable may be CAT6, CAT5 or CAT 5e
  6. ARA TECHNICAL LTD will be responsible for the supply, installation and maintenance of CCTV and other related equipment that has been supplied by ARA TECHNICAL LTD only.
  7. ARA TECHNICAL LTD and the named customer assert that ARA TECHNICAL LTD are not liable for any and all third-party equipment or installations present.
  8. ARA TECHNICAL LTD asserts that all installations will be carried out by a competent engineer to the SSAIB standards of work.
  9. ARA TECHNICAL LTD asserts that all equipment supplied will be compliant with U.K. electrical standards and Part 15 FCC rules.
  10. ARA TECHNICAL LTD asserts that the equipment supplied will be subject to a manufacturers limited warranty of 12 months from completion of the installation.
  11. Exclusions to the above warranty include but are not exclusive to, misuse of the equipment, damage caused by a third party (i.e., contractors) damage by criminal action, damage by severe weather conditions, failure of building infrastructure.
  12. Failure to maintain monthly payments represent a breach of contract and the customer accepts that services will be withdrawn, and the maintenance contract cancelled after 2 months missed payment.
  13. ARA TECHNICAL LTD reserve the right to use Legal action to recover any outstanding payments and costs.
  14. This contract will be subject to Scottish law only, the illegality or any point that is not enforceable will not invalidate the contract as a whole.
